Savills has updated its house price forecast – now expecting prices to rise by 2.5% in 2024. I’m not quite sure what’s unexpectedly changed since last November when they believed that prices would fall by 3%, but there you go. (Incidentally, they publish a five year forecast but I never bother to look beyond the current year – because they will never stick their neck out and forecast a fall in any future year, which makes the exercise somewhat pointless.)
