Just as sentiment across all indicators is improving, house prices are falling – only slightly, but it’s the second successive month that the Nationwide index is registering falls. It makes no sense, and the takeaway is probably that we should stop even thinking about small monthly changes (all of which are subject to error and revision anyway).
